This message contains an action request. MINUSTAH today
informed the Ambassador by written correspondence that
newly-appointed Special Representative of the Secretary
General Edmond Mulet (Guatemala) will attend the OAS general
assembly meeting in Santo Domingo, June 4-6. The MINUSTAH
letter asks the Ambassador's assistance in identifying and
arranging meetings with the members of the U.S. delegation
with "close ties to Haiti" on the margins of the general
assembly. (Post will fax copy of the letter to WHA/CAR.)
Post appreciates Department's guidance in providing points of
contact for MINUSTAH to assist in arranging appropriate
meetings.
