We contacted Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace (KDA) on May 12 to follow up on reftel request. Kongsberg Procurement Coordinator Kjersti Jacobsen confirms its End User Statement and verified that the quantities and types of explosive bolts are correct in the referenced request. The bolts are to be used for development testing on the Norwegian Naval Strike Missile (NSM) for which Kongsberg have a development contract with the Norwegian Navy. In conjunction with NSM testing and qualification, the bolts are to be used in the NSM separation mechanism and booster separation. Ms. Jacobsen indicated that Kongsberg predicts that all of the bolts will be used during the NSM development period and that Kongsberg will in future need to order more bolts for serial production of the NSM. ¶2. Post will be pleased to further contact Kongsberg as necessary, but has no adverse information regarding the statements provided by Kongsberg on the End User Statement described in reftel.
