(C) DCM called on MFA Secretary General Mohamed Lemine Ould
Moulaye Zeine in the morning of July 14 to deliver ref e-mail
points. Moulaye Zeine said the ministry was aware of the
Saudi statement, and said he would inform the minister of the
USG position. He said that Secretary of State for the Arab
Maghreb Union Bismillahi Ali Ould Ahmed will represent
Mauritania at the AL ministerial meeting on Saturday. Moulay
Zeine indicated that Mauritania will go along with a
consensus resolution.
