(C) On April 20, poloff delivered reftel message to
Charalambos Hadjisavvas, who covers Middle Eastern issues in
the Cyprus MFA's Division of Bilateral Affairs. Hadjisavvas
said that the EU had condemned Hamas' statements following
the recent bombing in Tel Aviv and that Cyprus fully
supported this. Accordingly, Cyprus would follow the EU lead
with regard to diplomatic contacts and financial support.
