1. (C) As stated in Ref A, the Joint Secretary of the
Ministry of External Affairs (UN Economic and Social),in his
reply to Ref C demarche, responded that the Government of
India (GOI) has informed high-level U.S. representatives many
times that the GOI is not in favor of country specific
resolutions, noting that this would include resolutions
specific to the United States.
