1. (U) PolOff delivered reftel demarche to convey U.S.
interest in building support for five human rights country
resolutions to be voted on during the UNGA Third Committee to
MEA Deputy Secretary T. Armstrong Changsan (UN Economics and
Social) on Nov. 7. Having just returned from New York,
Changsan said he was aware of these resolutions and that,
while the GOI is watching them with interest, it has no
formal view on them yet.
