¶1. (C) Ambassador delivered reftel points June 7 to Chad's
Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Integreation, Ahmad
Allam-mi. Ambassador stressed the need for action, through
the issuance of a public statement of support, as well as the
use of direct contact with Iranian officials to encourage the
GOI to choose to suspend enrichment and reprocessing
activities.
¶2. (C) Minister Alam-mi, while noting that "Iran is far
away," nonetheless stated that he understood our desire for
action, and would take our request under consideration.
