(C) Charge delivered reftel demarche to MFA PermSec Rodgers,
urging The Bahamas to oppose or abstain from supporting the
resolution. Charge also urged The Bahamas to support the
Australian amendment to the resolution, noting that this
would be the only resolution on Cuba this year and it was
important for countries to register concerns with continuing
human rights abuses in Cuba. Rodgers promised to convey
reftel points to the Foreign Minister, but noted that The
Bahamas had consistently opposed the embargo and would likely
continue to do so.
