Government decisions terminated implementation of the secondary and tertiary (1994) and the primary (1996) aspects of the ALB. -- Oman does not maintain an Arab League Boycott Office. Moreover, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has ordered Omani government personnel to avoid any and all contacts with such offices in whichever countries they may exist. -- The government of Oman does take steps to correct instances of attempted boycott enforcement. There have been rare instances where government or parastatal procurement offices have used contracts with outdated boycott references in which a U.S. company has been asked to certify compliance with Omani regulations concerning boycotts. As no boycott regulations exist, such legacy lanuage is meaningless. Nevertheless, in every instace that such legacy boycott language has been brught to the attention of the Omani government, te government has acted swiftly in ordering the ofice in question to remove any and all references o a boycott Oman ceased to honor more than a decae ago.
