(SBU) In a March 22 meeting with FM Yusuf bin Alawi, Charge
and Pol/Econ chief touched briefly on ref A talking points
regarding the upcoming Arab League summit in Khartoum, which
the Minister confirmed he will be attending. The Minister's
remarks about receiving Hamas and promoting the peace process
are reported septel. The talking points were shared in
greater detail with the Minister's Chief of Political
Affairs, Mohammed Hassan. Hassan remarked that he was
closely studying the USG's positions previously provided in
ref B, and assured that our updated points would be likewise
considered.
