1. (U) This is an action message. Please see paragraph 3.
2. (C) Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yousef bin
Alawi told Ambassador on November 21 that he will attend the
Forum for the Future at the Dead Sea. Bin Alawi said he
planned to arrive in Jordan in the mid-to-late afternoon on
November 30 in time for the evening dinner function, and
would depart on December 1 after the conclusion of the main
events.
3. (C) Action Request: Minister bin Alawi has requested to
meet with the Secretary on the margins of the Forum for the
Future. Post strongly supports such a meeting if compatible
with the Secretary's schedule, and seeks guidance as soon as
possible to respond to the Minister's request.
