Post delivered ref A and B points on November 15 to the
office of Foreign Ministry Under Secretary Sayyid Badr
al-Busaidi on country resolutions at the UN General Assembly
Third Committee, including anti-U.S. resolutions submitted by
Belarus. (Post had previously delivered ref D demarche on
country specific human rights resolutions at the Third
Committee directly to Ambassador Talab Miran, Chief of the
Foreign Ministry's International Organizations Department -
see ref C.) In the absence of the Under Secretary, currently
traveling outside Oman, Pol/Econ Chief emphasized key U.S.
concerns to his Deputy Office Director, Humaid Ma'ani.
Ma'ani responded that he would immediately forward our points
to relevant officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and
work to ensure they also were communicated to Oman's UN
Mission in New York.
