1. POLOFF delivered reftel talking points on the UN High Level
Dialogue (HLD) on International Migration and Development to the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in the form of a non-paper on
August 4. The talking points were received without comment.
2. Separately, MFA Department for Humanitarian Cooperation and
Human Rights Counselor Andrey Taranda informed POLOFF that the
Belarusian mission to the UN plans to hold consultations in the
first half of August at the UN headquarters to discuss Belarus'
latest draft resolution on the Global Partnership to Combat
Trafficking in Persons. This resolution aims to increase
international cooperation in the field of counter trafficking. The
MFA requested that U.S. experts participate in the consultations.
