Herrera said that the governments of the United States and Mexico agree in their support of the resolution on Sudan as drafted by Finland for consideration by the Human Rights Council (HRC) at the special session scheduled for December ¶12. Herrera remarked that the resolution provides adequate language concerning the human rights situation in Darfur, particularly in comparison to the resolution drafted by Algeria, and that a fact-finding mission at this time should be conducted by experts. Mexico plans to vote for the resolution drafted by Finland. Visit Mexico City's Classified Web Site at http://www.state.sgov.gov/p/wha/mexicocity BASSETT
