(U) Charge met on October 11 with Pitso Makosholo, acting Principle Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to deliver reftel talking points on the new National Space Policy. ¶2. (SBU) Makosholo expressed appreciation for the information on the new National Space Policy, although he suggested that the GOL would not have an official reaction to the policy. He emphatically concurred, however, with the notion that the United States must have effective and efficient space capabilities in order to increase knowledge and economic prosperity and to enhance national security.
