The Ministry of Health (MISAU) has received funds from the Health Sector Cooperation Partners for the implementation of the Annual Operational Plan 2005. MISAU now intends to use part of the proceeds of these funds for eligible payments under a contract for the supply of hospital equipment and materials for clinical programs within the scope of the tender PROSAUDE/POA-20/05/MISAU/DL. The Ministry of Health, through the Department of Logistics, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of goods as follows: Description Qty Ophthalmic equipment 143 Anesthesia equipment 68 Surgery equipment 127 Orthopedic equipment 158 Cardio-pneumology equipment 10 Neurosurgery equipment 61 Laboratory equipment 499 Radiology equipment 60 Pathology equipment 34 Dermatology equipment 4 Gynecology equipment 461 Physiotherapy equipment 5206 Dental equipment 393 Ophthalmology material 46 Orthopedic material 17,329 Neurosurgery material 71 Gastro and maxilla facial material 10 Prostheses material 2490 Dental and surgery ORL material 25317 ¶8. Bidders may submit bids for one or more complete lots as specified in the bid document. The Evaluation Committee in the Ministry will evaluate proposals lot by lot, or item by item in a lot, and will award the contract to the bidder with the most economically advantageous proposal. The Tender will be decided according to the Simplified International Public Bids procedures (IPB) specified in the PROSAUDE Procurement Procedures Manual, as defined in the Memorandum of Understanding dated November 12, 2003, which memorandum creates the Common Fund for Support to Health Sector (PROSAUDE). This International Bid is also open to eligible national bidders according to the Bid Document and PROSAUDE Procurement Procedures Manual. For additional information and to consult the complete tender documents in Portuguese and English, interested eligible bidders may contact the Department of Logistics at the address shown on Item 6B, from 08:00 am to 15:30 pm daily (Mozambique time). ¶9. The Tender Dossier can be ordered through a written application to the above-mentioned address as of January 6th, ¶2006. Tender Dossiers will be delivered for a non-refundable fee of USD 150 (one hundred and fifty US dollars) or the MAPUTO 00000086 002 OF 002 equivalent amount in local currency (meticais) or EURO. Payment can be made through a bank deposit to BCI Fomento (account in MZM, MISAU-DAG-JUROS E CADERNO DE ENCARGOS 10.22.9427.10.001 or account in USD, MISAU-DAG-PROSAUDE 10.22.9427.10.002). Bidders that want their bidding documents mailed must pay an additional fee of USD 50 (fifty US dollars). All proposals must be submitted to the address listed above no later than March 1st, 2006, 13:30pm (Mozambique time),and must have a bank guarantee attached: a provisional security of 2.5 percent of the total bid price must be attached to all submitted bids. All proposals received after the deadline will be rejected and returned to the bidder unopened. Bids will be opened on March 1st, 2006 at 13:45pm (Mozambique time) in the presence of any bidder representatives who choose to attend. ¶10.
