1. (U) Post appreciates receiving FY2005 DHRF funding in the
amount of $76,000, the same level of funding received in
FY2004. These funds have enabled the Embassy to engage a
broad range of Mozambican civil society in their human
rights and democracy-building efforts (reftel B).
2. (U) For FY2006, Post requests $76,000 to support local
community- and NGO-based initiatives. Projects will cover
activities in targeted areas such as child protection legal
initiatives, trafficking-in-persons, women's rights, and
judicial action.
