On November 17 emboff delivered reftel talking points on the
United States position regarding the Convening of the
Emergency Special Session of the UNGA concerning Israel to
Faruque Faquira, Head of the United Nations Department,
Directorate of the International Conferences and
Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Faquira
concurred with the vital importance of balanced UNGA
resolutions and noted that in such sensitive issues it was
normal practice for Mozambique to abstain.
