Shaikho said he would discuss subscribing to the HCOC with contacts at the Bahrain Defense Force. He understood the U.S. interest in promoting the HCOC in the context of other non-proliferation initiatives including the Proliferation Security Initiative and the Chemical Weapons Convention Host Country Agreement.
