(C) The Ambassador December 28 delivered reftel information concerning UN Security Council Resolution 1737 on Iran to Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. The Ambassador emphasized that the resolution requires countries to ensure that no sensitive dual-use technology goes to Iran, and that countries must freeze the assets of individuals and entities identified in the resolution and notify the sanctions committee of the travel of any of these individuals. Shaikh Khalid said Bahrain will abide by the resolution fully and unequivocally. ¶2. (C) In a separate December 28 meeting, Pol/Econ Chief delivered reftel information to MFA Director for International Organization Affairs Ghassan Shaikho.
