(C) Pol/Econ Chief October 26 delivered reftel demarche
concerning UNGA resolutions on the situation of human rights
and children in Lebanon to MFA Director for International
Organization Affairs Ghassan Shaikho. Shaikho was unaware of
the proposed resolutions but said he would have the Bahraini
mission to the UN send him the draft texts for review. In
principle, Bahrain wants to help address the humanitarian
needs of the people of Lebanon, Shaikho said.
