SUBJECT: IRAQI PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION TO VISIT BAHRAIN
(U) The Bahrain press has reported, and Iraqi emboffs have
confirmed, that a large Iraqi parliamentary delegation will
visit Bahrain next week. The delegation, consisting of
approximately 20 parliamentarians and 10 support staff, is
currently in Iran and will arrive in Bahrain on Saturday.
Iran and Bahrain are the only stops on the trip. In Bahrain,
they are scheduled to meet with Bahraini parliamentarians and
are expected to host a press event. The delegation includes
members of different parties, both Sunni and Shia, according
to the Iraqi Embassy.
