On March 13, Saramelia Rosales, Director of International
Organizations for the Ministry of Trade (MIFIC) reaffirmed
Nicaragua's support for the US position on geographic
indicators. She further noted that the Minister of MIFIC has
instructed the Nicaraguan delegation to co-sponsor the US
proposal on the multilateral system for GI wines and spirits
in the WTO.
