(SBU) Embassy delivered talking points contained reftel A & B
and subsequently, A/DCM and EconOff raised the matter with
Anne Goedert of the MFA Political Directorate. She told us
that Luxembourg had not yet officially decided on a
candidate, but would do so in the near future. However, she
then told us that she thought we "would be pleased with
Luxembourg's decision" but that she simply was not "cleared
off" to give us the official answer.
