On 4/12 Garro thanked Poloff for the information in the demarche and said he had not/not yet received a readout from the Peruvian representative who attended the Inter-American Committee against Terrorism (CICTE) meeting in Bogota. Garro said Foreign Minister Oscar Maurtua had been informed of the information in the demarche. Garro said the GOP has not taken a position on the issue of Venezuela's UNSC bid in light of ongoing Peruvian elections.
