1. The African Contingency Operations and Assistance (ACOTA)
Program began a three week training in Malawi on Monday,
February 6. A total of 946 Malawi Defense Force (MDF)
soldiers--46 officers and 900 enlisted men--reported for
training on the first day. The training will cover various
peace-keeping skills, culminating in a evacuation exercise on
the last day of training, February 24. Post will report
other developments, including the results of a scheduled VIP
day on February 15, septel.
