(U) According to a February 20 Arab Times (local English daily) article, the Arab League issued a report on Sunday, February 19 identifying Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, and Egypt as the only four Arab states to have fulfilled Arab League payment commitments in support of the Palestinian Authority (PA). Kuwait's $40M contribution, along with Saudi Arabia ($30.8M),Algeria ($52.8M) and Egypt ($1M) bring to $124.6M the total contributions toward the $330M requested for the PA at the 2005 Arab Summit in Algeria, according to the article. ¶2.
