(U) Per reftel request, Embassy approached the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) to urge participation by KIA Managing Director, Bader Al-Sa'ad at the MENA-OECD conference. Al-Bader's office has informed the Embassy that he will not/not be able to attend the conference and has nominated Mr. Bader Al-Ajeel, KIA's Senior Investment Manager from the organization's Arab Investment Department, to represent the GOK. ¶2. (U) Al-Ajeel is a senior KIA executive, representing the organization on boards of several Kuwaiti and Arab companies, either as Chairman or as a Member of the Board.
