Ambassador Abdullah Murad who admitted he had not seen the
text of the Qatari draft resolution, but argued that the
extent of Israeli action in Gaza demanded urgent UNSC action.
He took the point that key actors were engaged in efforts to
resolve the crisis and promised to consult immediately with
his minister and convey the USG request for a delay in
seeking a vote.
