daily Al-Seyassah under the title "A Long American Movie and Arabs'
Hands Clapping": "The United States still depends on fooling us by
wrapping its campaigns in idealist slogans such as human rights,
public freedom, democracy, women's rights, children's rights, and
even animal rights. American's continuation on this course goes on
not only without opposition, it continues and all we can do is
listen stupidly. The biggest evidence to this is the American comedy
show called Saddam's trial. AMERICA wants to show us its concern for
human rights and the right of the accused to defend himself before a
court of law. But it did not reveal why it is so determined to
continue airing this show before millions who know that this is not
legally required and that the trial can continue without being
broadcast."
