(C) The Ambassador delivered May 24 to Ministry of Foreign
Affairs Undersecretary Khaled Al-Jarallah ref A demarche
encouraging financial assistance to Al-Quds University as a
means of assisting the Palestinian people. The Ambassador
informed Al-Jarallah that the U.S. was looking for ways to
assist the university and said the agreement between Al-Quds
and the Kuwait University College of Social Sciences could be
used as a vehicle for financial assistance. Al-Jarallah
welcomed the non-paper and said the GOK would consider the
issue.
