1. (C) POLOFF delivered January 30 reftel demarche and
talking points to Jacques Djoli, Chief of Staff of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Djoli said the GDRC shared USG
and international community concerns over Iran developing
nuclear weapons. Djoli also said maximum pressure should be
applied on the Iranian government, and agreed that the matter
should be referred to the UN Security Council. He added that
he would convey the GDRC's views to the Iranian mission in
the DRC.
