1. (SBU) Mission convened an EAC meeting on August 24 at
0900 local time to assess the current security environment
and discuss developments since the previous meeting on August

23. Recommendations included: A) advising mission personnel
and Amcits to exercise increased caution, despite the return
to business as usual; and B) issuing an updated warden
message to all Amcits, advising them of the travel warning
update on August 23, alerting them to the presence of new
roadblocks/checkpoints, and advising them to note that
supplemental consular alerts depend upon availability of the
cellular network and originate only from the Consular
section.
