¶1. (C) On May 8, DCM faxed Ref C points to Ambassador Velma
McNish, Director, International Organizations Department,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, and asked
McNish to urge Ambassador Raymond Wolfe, Jamaica's new
Permanent Representative to the United Nations, to oppose the
candidacy of Iran for the Human Rights Council. Ambassador
McNish has not indicated how the GOJ plans to vote in
tomorrow's election, but Post is following up for her
response.
