On June 14, Poloff faxed Ref A talking points to Angella
Brown, Deputy Director, International Organizations
Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade
(MFA). (Unfortunately, due to a local technical problem Post
was unaware of the request until Ref B.) Poloff subsequently
followed up with several telephone calls to Brown to request
Jamaica's position on the issue, but no response has yet been
forthcoming. Post will continue to seek a response from the
MFA.
