1. (C) In response to reftel tasker, post notes that Sudan
does maintain lists of terrorist groups. These lists are not
published, and are not accessible by other than through
direct, personal contact with National Intelligence and
Security Service (NISS) officials. In addition to terrorist
groups, Sudan tracks both Chad and Libya on an on-going
basis.


2. (C) International terrorist groups listed are as follows:


-- Al-Qa'ida;

-- Hizbollah;

-- Palestinian Islamic Jihad;

-- Libyan Islamic Fighting Group and

-- Lord's Resistance Army.


3. (C) National terrorist groups listed are as follows:

-- Al-Takfir Wel-Hijra.
