¶1. Pol/Econ Chief delivered subject demarche to MFA Deputy Director
for the Americas Abdel Rahman Sharfi on November 2, with a follow-up
visit on November 9 and inquiry on November 16.
¶2. Sharfi promised to refer the issue to the Department for Asian
Affairs; Pol/Econ Chief has requested a meeting with the Under
Secretary for Finance and National Economy to discuss the issue
