Post requests the Department's assistance in screening the following candidates, who have been nominated for training in the U.S., pursuant to the Leahy Act and Foreign Assistance Act. The candidates are scheduled to participate in Stability Security, Transition and Reconstruction (SSTR) training from November 29 to December 20, 2006, with the Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies in Hawaii. As of this date, Post has no derogatory information. Post requests a response from the Department by November 10, 2006 because some participants will be traveling from outside of Kathmandu and require the lead time to make arrangements. ¶2.
