1. (SBU) Acting Deputy Chief of Mission delivered the points
(reftel) to Mr. Shree Krishna Shrestha, Director General,
Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology, Ministry of
Industry, Commerce and Supplies. Shrestha said, in general,
he agreed with our comments, but he needed to review the
documents in detail. Shrestha stated he planned to attend
the negotiating session on SAICM in Dubai (he was waiting for
a visa),and would be willing to discuss the issues further
with the USG delegation. Shrestha noted that Mr. A.R.
Pandey, Secretary, Ministry of the Environment, might
accompany him to Dubai.
