¶1. On June 5, 2006 A/DCM Larry Schwartz met with Acting
Foreign Secretary Pradeep Kumar Khatiwada to seek Nepal's
support for Professor Ruth Wedgwood's re-election to the U.N.
Human Rights Committee. The A/DCM specifically highlighted
Ms. Wedgwood's commitment to human rights and trafficking as
he delivered reftel's diplomatic note. The Acting Foreign
Secretary thanked the A/DCM for the information provided as
