(SBU) On April 28, Post delivered demarche (reftel),
containing information on the addition of four individuals to
the UN 1267 list to Under Secretary Kali Prasad Pokhrel,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Pokhrel stated that the
Government of Nepal (GON) continued to be supportive of
efforts to combat terrorist financing and that the Central
Bank continued to play its role by circulating UN 1267 terror
finance lists to all banks and financial institutions in
Nepal. He said there still had not been any cases in Nepal
of accounts or assets found belonging to those listed under
UN 1267.
