(SBU) On March 9, 2006, Econoff delivered reftel demarche
points to the Trade and Industry Department (TID) Principal
Trade Officer responsible for the issue. The officer said
that they personally agreed with the USG position but needed
more time to discuss the issue with TID colleagues. The
official said that they would deliver the Hong Kong
Government's formal reply as soon as possible.
