¶1. (U) The Guatemalan Foreign Ministry expects President
Berger and new Foreign Minister Rosenthal will attend the
61st UN General Assembly. The MFA is currently in the midst
of transitioning from FM Briz, who departed the MFA on July
31 (Ref B),to FM Rosenthal, who was sworn in on August 1
(Ref C). Post will send delegation names and travel dates
once that information is confirmed by the new FM.
