Post received the following updated information from the Guyana
Ministry of Foreign Affairs on August 31:
A. Attendance of the Head of State
President Jagdeo has no plans to attend UNGA at this time. Post will
notify immediately if informed of his attendance.
B. Attendance of the Head of State
Prime Minister Hinds has no plans to attend UNGA at this time. Post
will notify immediately if informed of his attendance.
C. Attendance of the Foreign Minister
--Samuel R. Insanally, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Permanent
Representative to the United Nations will attend
--Arrive New York 17-SEP-2006, Depart late September
Insanally's spouse, Bonita Insanally, resides in New York but will
travel from Georgetown to New York with Insanally
--No interpretation required
D. Attendance of other VIP's
No other VIP's plan to attend.
E. Attendance of the Foreign Ministry official responsible for IO
affairs.
