¶1. (SBU) PolOff delivered demarche per reftel May 24 to
Ambassador Elizabeth Harper, Director General (and number
two) at Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Harper does not believe
the GoG has had any communication or interaction with the new
Iraqi government. Although providing assistance is out of
the question for Guyana, she agreed to pass on the message
seeking a public statement of support for the new Iraqi
political leadership.
¶2. (U) Post will continue to monitor and report on any
developments in the GoG's attitude towards Iraq.
