1. Post looks forward to the release of the 2006 Human Rights
Report. Post plans to translate the Tajikistan Country Report
into both Russian and Tajik. Tajik is the official state
language and Russian is commonly used among government
officials, civil society, media, and the general population.
2. Post has decided to procure translation locally (Option 1
per reftel). Based upon last year's report, 2006 translation
costs will be approximately $800. Post would appreciate it if
the Department could provide funding assistance for the
translations.
