(C) On April 28, emboff delivered reftel points to Irish
Department of Foreign Affairs, Human Rights Director Eamonn
MacAodha. MacAodha said that the GOI does not intend to
support the candidacy of Iran in the May 9 UN Human Rights
Council elections and added that though the GOI deems Iran as
an inappropriate candidate for the HRC, any Irish campaign
against Iranian candidacy would come from the EU.
