1. On May 10, POLOFF delivered reftel demarche to Nasser
Mohammed Hassan, the Assistant Director for Bilateral Affairs
in charge of America and Europe at the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs. POLOFF explained that this was an urgent matter, and
Hassan replied that he would forward the information
immediately. Hassan said he could not give an official
response, but indicated that Djibouti would most likely
follow any recommendations put forth by the Arab League.
