1. (U) Poloff delivered points and diplomatic note
regarding candidacy of Ruth Wedgwood for reelection to the
United Nations Human Rights Committee per reftel A. Tanzania
supports Ms. Wedgwood's candidature as communicated in a
diplomatic note received July 26 (reftel B).


2. Post reiterates its request for guidance on the USG
position regarding Tanzanian candidate Mohammed Yussuf for
