1. Post provided talking points contained in reftel to senior
government officials dealing with WTO matters in the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Trade and its Department of Commerce
and the Ministry of Finance and Planning on June 27. These
officials requested time to get back to us with their comments.
Although Post has made various follow-up inquiries, we have not yet
received Sri Lanka's response, which we will forward upon receipt.
2. Additionally, the Department of Commerce promised to forward the
talking points to Gomi Senadhira, Sri Lankan Ambassador to the WTO
in Geneva who is expected to lead the Sri Lankan delegation at the
WTO meetings.
